We also found that APO reduces inefficiency within the CPU by, somewhat ironically, minimizing E-core involvement in the processing of a heavy gaming workload. Although E-cores may be technically more efficient in their intended use case, like background tasks or lower intensity software, they can get in the way of applications that really just need access to high-performing cores (and maybe not even all of them).
